Richard Winkler began his involvement in the timeshare and travel business in 1983, when he first became General Counsel to a property development company in Newport, RI. Following a long and successful career in the development and sale of resort properties and the creation of varied legal structures for numerous vacation-related products, Richard assumed the role of General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of a public company in the financial lending and resort development and sales business. Richard is a nationally recognized leader in the vacation and travel industry with close personal friendships with industry executives in the fields of exchange, banking, development, management and consumer servicing. Because of these relationships and his vast experience in the operations, marketing, legal and service side of both the timeshare and travel business, Richard had the vision as well as the available resources to develop a network of low-cost vacationing opportunities that represent a significant cost savings to Members of the Regency Travel Club. As the Club grows, additional low-cost opportunities will present themselves due to the increased buying power represented by Club Members.
